module 3, colour

So far module 3 has been my favorite, partly because I used my favourite artist, Hundertwasser, as inspiration. I love the bright, sometimes clashing colours.
Wish I could find materials that are as bright as his paintings but so far not much luck. I'm sure they are available in the UK somewhere, I just need to discover where so if anyone has any suggestions, please drop me a line.
Anyway, here's some of my design work from this module.

I entered some work in a local art competition and I was lucky enough to have my work selected to be exhibited for 3 months in a local museum.

module 2, shape

Hi,
it's me again. I'll try and upload some work from my second module which was about shape.
I will try and make a mix between design work and quilting block.
And by the way, the theme was industrial. my first response was "What..." but after doing some sketches in pencil based on images I think I got the hang of it.

This module was a lot about foundation piecing, a technique that I don't really like because it has a lot to do with doing things in reverse, lefts and rights. I am quite pleased that I managed to come up with some blocks that ended up looking the way I expected them to come out.

Here are some more designs I developed, i hope to get back to some of these at a later stage and turn them into textile designs.

I also used a street dance clip as inspiration for some of my work. I made a mini movie (sorry, no idea on how to upload this) and ended up with some designs from it.

I also had to create a rotary cut block and a curved block for this module
